Can you imagine the ocean appearing in the center of the city?
In Chongqing Guanyinqiao Business District you can see "Ocean 88" on the 3788 "Light of Asia" landmark giant screen ( 3788 square meters of video surface ). The ocean unfolds as a vast emotional landscape, yet its waves reveal a mechanical understructure — metallic filaments, engineered rhythms, and an aquatic world sustained by invisible systems. This interplay between natural immensity and mechanical origin creates an immersive environment designed to subtly disorient and captivate.

Working with the 3788 ‘Light of Asia’ landmark screen in Chongqing is a dream realized.
I have always been fascinated by the sea. When the ocean suddenly unfolds before the viewer, its vastness becomes a reminder of our place within a grander scheme. This sea becomes a canvas for our deepest questions and emotions, its rising waves evoking nature’s formidable power. Yet the ocean of Ocean 88 is not entirely natural: its movements reveal a mechanical understructure, an aquatic world sustained by invisible systems. The waves seem to surge from metallic filaments, as though the sea itself were woven from wires and engineered rhythms. This interplay between organic immensity and mechanical origin shapes an intricate, immersive environment designed to induce a subtle, lingering sense of disorientation. The site — capable of visually suspending an ocean in mid‑air above a public square — becomes the ideal stage for this dreamlike, hybrid universe. # Roberto Vitalini
Giant 3D LED screens possess an enchanting ability to illuminate and transform their surroundings and the identity of architectural structures. When videos are displayed on these colossal screens, the visual content transforms the building into a radiant entity. The L shape of the screen empowers video creators to craft 3D illusions allowing the existing architecture to transcend its physical form. My vision is to embrace the architectural giants and enrich their inner structure with fundamental symbols of the collective imagination.
